THE National Hospital Insurance Fund was yesterday given the go-ahead to start charging members enhanced rates which will see workers paying between Sh150 and Sh2,000 per month. The Industrial Court dismissed an application filed by the Kenya Union of Domestic Hotels Educational Institutions Hospitals and Allied Workers (Kudhehia) which was challenging the rates increase. The enhanced contributions were supposed to be effected in October last year but the union got a restraining order against the NHIF until its case was resolved.
