The state has withdrawn three of the four charges against Nairobi senator candidate Gideon Sonko. State lawyer Nelly Wang’ele told Principal Magistrate Lucas Onyina that the after "analysing all evidence in the case" they decided to withdraw the three charges. He said, however, they will proceed with count one. The charge that will proceed is on assault. Wang'ele said they have eight witnesses.
