Turkana cattle rustlers on Sunday raided Kases village of North Pokot where they stole 150 goats, abducted a 16-year-old girl and later shot her dead. Speaking to press yesterday at Makutano town, IGAD field monitor Renson Apakamoi said the raiders shot Regina Domongoria at Nakwamoru village which is the Pokot, Turkana border. “The killing of the girl and theft of the animals has caused a lot of tension between the two communities which may result in serious pastoral conflict if government authorities do not intervene,” he said.
