Man denies sh4,000 phone robbery

A 32-year-old man was yesterday taken to a Kibera court and charged with robbery with violence.Dominic Mutuku Muema is accused of stealing a Sh4,000 phone from Tanko ole Mapengo while armed with a panga. He is alleged to have killed him on the night of January 20 at Olchoronyori in Kiserian.Muema also faces another charge of stealing household goods valued at Sh150,000 in Esther Samparian's house. He denied the charges before principal magistrate Lucas Onyina.The accused told the court he was tortured by police while in custody. He said the police forced him to confess to the charges...
