Murang’a county commissioner Kula Hache yesterday defended the police against accusations of laxity following increased cases of kidnapping. She denied that some officers are part in the ongoing kidnapping racket. Addressing the press after a security meeting at her office, Hache, however, said they are investigating some officers suspected of being part of a racket behind the kidnapping of six people. She promised that tough action will be taken against any rogue officers.
