A whopping Sh 242 million of the total Sh1.8 billion allocated for the Constituency Development Funds (CDF's) in the period 2010/2011 is either wasted or unnaccounted for, a report on the use of the kitty in 28 counties shows. According to the report released today by the National Taxpayers Association (NTA) shoddy projects- both complete and incomplete- swallowed up the bulk of the funds with Sh179.1 million wasted on such projects. A further Sh40.5 million was unaccounted for while abandoned projects cost the kitty Sh22.2 million the audit report says...
