More than six million children in lower primary school have been dewormed, the Kenya National School-Based Deworming report says. The report released yesterday shows the worm burden stands at 80 per cent for children aged between two-14 years. The five-year programme was started in 2012, aiming to deworm 5.7 million children. So far 6.4 million children have been dewormed. The programme has benefitted children enrolled and those not enrolled in schools.
