Almost a decade ago, I got into a public dispute with the Swedish Ambassador to Kenya of the time. I had never met this man. But I knew him by his frequent contributions to the opinion columns of the newspaper I was writing for at the time. Ambassador Bo Goransson (that was his name) wrote a column in 2006 arguing that the greatest problem faced by Kenya was inequality.
