The petition to remove Attorney General Githu Muigai from office hit a dead end yesterday after it emerged that there is no specific provision in the constitution for his removal. The National Assembly Justice and Legal Affairs Committee that was set to start hearing the petition filed by the Law Society of Kenya could not do so because the Attorney General Office Act protects the AG from being removed from office.
