The Ministry of Lands is ahead of schedule as it awaits the gazettement of the National Land Commission members, minister James Orengo said yesterday. Orengo said he has formed a committee that will propose the regulations, rules and guidelines of the land commission as per the provisions of the constitution, Land Registration Act 2012 and Land Act 2012. The committee will draft subsidiary legislation, identify inconsistencies in the two statutes and propose amendments.
