The IEBC yesterday cleared four candidates for the Nairobi governor race. Former Mumias Sugar CEO Evans Kidero was the first to be cleared in the morning by IEBC's returning officer Fiona Waithaka. Kidero was accompanied by his running mate Jonathan Mweke and his wife Susan. He was followed late in the afternoon by former Nyeri Central MP Wanyiri Kihoro and his running mate Joseph Odula, a veterinary surgeon. Kihoro will contest the seat as an independent candidate.
