COURT of Appeal judge GBM Kariuki yesterday accused Equity Bank of lying before the vetting board in a house sale dispute. Kariuki was testifying before Justice Jonathan Havelock in a case in which he is accusing the bank of breaching a contract. He told the court that the bank frustrated his efforts to acquire a house at Lower Kabete even though he was willing to buy it. Kariuki said the bank did not give his lawyers its accounts details to facilitate the sale.
