A farmer in Baraka village, Nanyuki town, is counting her loses after her sheep were killed by a wild animal. Felista Wairimu yesterday found six sheep dead and three injured. Speaking to the Star on the phone, she said she suspects the livestock were killed by a leopard. “I did not hear any commotion at the sheep’s shed at night. I only found them dead in the morning” Wairimu said. Residents now fear the animal might attack people or kill more livestock. They urged Kenya Wildlife Service rangers to track it.
