The UDF has withdrawn its support for former Nyanza PC Paul Olando who is vying for Kakamega governor. The party has instead resolved to support Housing minister Soita Shitanda after he was cleared by the IEBC to contest on a New Ford Kenya ticket. UDF had earlier rejected Shitanda on grounds that his university degrees are questionable.
