Musician gets Sh6.2m aid

Local artiste Mary ‘Shiru wa GP’ Wanjiru has received Sh6.2 million from well-wishers for a hospital bill. The amount includes Sh1 million from President Uhuru Kenyatta. Wanjiru sings in vernacular. She had twins at MP Shah Hospital, Nairobi, but one died. The money will cater for medical bills for the remaining baby. Wanjiru has been in and out of hospital after her delivery.
