Sh100,000 for suspected child defiler

A man who allegedly attempted to defile a 14-year-old girl has been released on Sh100,000 bond. Kelvin Chengo is accused of committing the offence on August 1, at Mijomboni, Kilifi county. He is also accused of committing an indecent act with a minor. Chengo denied the charges before Malindi acting senior resident magistrate Yusuf Shikanda and was released on Sh100,000 and a surety of similar amount. The case will be heard on November 10.
