The Machakos county assembly has summoned Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala to explain his long absence from duty. The Labour, Social Welfare and ICT committee wants Kiala to explain why he has stayed away from office for the past four months. “Ever since he was cleared by the Senate, Kiala has never reported to his office, in complete defiance of the labour laws,” committee chairman Leonard Katela said.
