A Nairobi court has declined to release on bail a primary school driver charged with having materials that promote terrorism. Asman Gichuru has denied being in possession of two videos with the aim of committing a terror act in Nairobi. Senior principal magistrate Lucy Mbugua said he might abscond since the offence carries a harsh sentence on conviction. She ordered that Gichuru be remanded until the case is heard on December 2. Gichuru was allegedly found with the videos in his phone on October 19 in Majengo, Nairobi county.
