PEOPLE living with disability in Murang’a county will get free medical care in public hospitals, following a decision by the county assembly. The assembly on Tuesday passed a motion requiring the county government to partner with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities to establish medical assessment centres in the subcounties. The motion was moved by Florence Wangechi, the MCA representing persons with disabilities. “The centres should be established in Mathioya, Kandara, Kigumo and Gatanga for easier access,” she said.
