A nominated MCA was yesterday sworn in at the Nyandarua county assembly amid protests. David Mwangi was sworn in after he obtained a ruling in his favour from the High Court. A group of people living with disabilities protested against Mwangi’s nomination outside the chambers. They said the position should have been given to a person with a disability. Nyandarua assembly speaker Ndegwa Wahome did not swear in Mwangi in 2013 because some county MCAs said he should not be nominated under marginalised groups.
