A bar operator who pleaded guilty to a charge of selling liquor without a valid license was yesterday fined Sh30,000 or 3 months imprisonment by a Thika Court. Jennifer Mueni was convicted and sentenced by senior principal magistrate Martha Mutuku. Prosecutor Nancy Muthuri told the court that police were tipped off that the accused was selling liquor without a license. Police raised the pub and apprehended Mueni. Several spirits were produced as exhibit by chief inspector Muthuri.
