AN acute water shortage has hit Homa Bay town and its environs. Residents fear the week-long shortage lead to an outbreak of water-borne diseases. The residents have been forced to fetch raw water from Lake Victoria. “Lake Victoria water is a predisposing factor to waterborne diseases like cholera because it is not treated. It may culminate into deaths if the situation continues,” said a resident, Sophia Okoth.
