Elgeyo Marakwet residents have accused Ainabkoi MP Samuel Chepkong’a of violating the law. He allegedly refused to pay tax for trees harvested from Kaptagat Forest by a company associated with him. The residents demonstrated on Tuesday. They said the MP is misusing President Uhuru Kenyatta’s name by saying he cannot be taken anywhere as he has a direct link to the President.
