PLANS are underway to built a multi-purpose rugby stadium in Kenya as the country seeks to host future international events including a leg of the International Rugby Board (IRB) Sevens Series. Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) chairman Mwangi Muthee said the project is an initiative of the country’s President Uhuru Kenyatta, who has appointed cabinet secretaries Dr. Fred Matiang’i (Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology) and Dr. Hassan Wari (Sports, Arts & Culture) to oversee it.
