Taveta councillor pleads for 200 evictees

A Taveta councillor has said more than 200 people might not register as voters following the destruction of their property by lands officials recently. Kimorigo Kitobo councillor Sammy Kasanga said the houses were demolished and burnt down by Administration police officers in Taveta during an eviction. "More than 200 people lost their ID cards when their houses were burnt by the Administration police officers and lands officials at Riata area in Taveta during the evictions,"he said.
