Floods wreak havoc in Narok

Flooding caused by heavy rains in Narok hindered transport along Narok-Mai Mahiu highway for more than 3 hours on Sunday evening. The gridlock from Nairobi stretched as far as Seasons hotel while that from Western Kenya reached Total petrol station, with many travellers stranded in Narok town. The rain which started at around 4pm also washed a lot of property away and half-way submerged many buildings, market stalls and kiosks being the worst hit.
