Kiambu governor candidate James Nyoro has promised to make the county a 24-hour economy by boosting existing open air markets. Nyoro said Kiambu is the food basket of Kenya feeding the capital city Nairobi and Mombasa, a tourist destination centre. The former Rockefeller boss said businesspeople in Limuru markets, Kiambu, Soko Mjinga, Wangige and Ruiru will thrive strongly if they are given loans.
