The Kaya elders will join their counterparts from other communities in a forest conservation conference scheduled for next month in Kilifi. The two-day conference themed, ‘The role of culture on sustainable forest management,’ will be held at the North Coast Hotel on December 2-3. It will bring together the key stakeholders and communities that use traditional knowledge and practices to enhance conservation of indigenous forests in Kenya.
