Busia elites back Ababu's appointment

Busia county professionals have said they are happy with the appointment of Ababu Namwamba as ODM secretary general. In a meeting at a Nairobi hotel yesterday, they said his appointment is timely and will ensure ODM remains united. Led by Peter Mwenengo, the group said Ababu will ensure ‘young turks’ in the party are involved in its daily management. “We want to thank party leader Raila Odinga for recognising Budalang’i people. For a long time, we felt young leaders like Ababu had been sidelined,” he said.
