The Public Health ministry yesterday launched a new $500,000 (Sh42.5 million) management programme to enhance the treatment of Tuberculosis. The TIBU programme management system has been integrated with Safaricom’s M-Pesa system to enable payment for services. Payments for Multi-Drug Resistant patients, who are usually reimbursed their fare to encourage them to go for treatment, will be paid through M-Pesa.
