Ruto solves Kimaiyo row in Marakwet

Deputy President William Ruto has intervened to stop wrangles between MPs and other leaders in Elgeyo Marakwet county who threatened to quit URP. Some MPs yesterday said they met Ruto and resolved to end the quarrels. The leaders claimed David Kimaiyo’s resignation as Inspector General of Police was influenced by some politicians. “We have resolved the matter amicably so that we can forge ahead,” Marakwet East MP Bowen Kangogo told the Star on the phone.
