Three killed in Kisumu crash

THREE people were killed in an accident at Kisian junction on the Kisumu-Busia road on Tuesday night. A lorry transporting bricks rammed into a Toyota Fielder and a canter killing one person instantly. The canter was transporting caterers. Nyanza Traffic boss Joseph Omukata said the lorry driver lost control because the brakes failed. He said two people died at Port Florence Hospital while receiving treatment. Two others are admitted at the hospital with serious injuries. “Vehicle owners and drivers must ensure that their cars are in good condition,” Omukata said.
