Potato farmers in Buuri District of Meru are set to benefit from partnerships with local NGO's and other institutions. According to the chairman of Timau Farmers Association James Kasisi, KARI has partnered with Farm Concern and will provide them with certified feeds for improved yields. Oxford University will establish storage facilities to enable farmers store at least 1,000 sacks per store during the low price season to sell when demand is high and prices are better.
