A former military officer has been set free after the court quashed his conviction and set aside his sentence. Henry Osiemo was convicted and sentenced to 22 years in prison after being found guilty of stealing more than Sh800,000 from his fellow soldier and Barclays Bank five years ago. Osiemo then filed an appeal arguing he was convicted on circumstantial evidence . The appellant has been out on a cash bail of Sh150,000 pending the outcome of the appeal.
