The elephant population at Nasolot Game Reserve in West Pokot has increased following intensive security surveillance and deployment of KWS rangers. Outgoing West Pokot assistant game warden Joseph Kinyanjui said the elephant population increased from 100 to 120 in a census conducted in 2010 after the KWS beefed up security in the game park and on the Nasolot-Rimoi elephant corridor.
