Wamalwa firm on voter period

Justice minister Eugene Wamalwa has told Kenyans there will be no extension for the ongoing voter registration despite the challenges. He said despite the minor handicaps in the registration brought about by the BVR machines and inadequate registration centres in some areas, the IEBC will stick to its timetable. The minister was speaking at Mulu Mutisya registration centre in Machakos town. He was accompanied by the IEBC Lower Eastern regional coordinator Ruth Kulundu. Wamalwa said he was confident the commission will achieve its target of 18 million voters.
