Voter registration in three wards in West Pokot failed to kick off after some biometric voter registration kits were found to be faulty. Hundreds of Kenyans in Mnagei, Kapenguria and Endough wards in Kapenguria constituency were turned away when the registration clerks discovered that their BVR kits were damaged. Residents who turned up early on Monday morning to register protested the anomaly. They accused the IEBC of plotting to deny them their right to vote in the March 4 elections.
