HUMAN activities have been blamed on destruction of ancient rock art sites in the country, a trend which should be reversed urgently, according to experts. Agricultural activities, quarrying, graffiti and deforestation have been identified as the main threats to cultural heritage sites in Kenya. However, concerted efforts are being made to map and gazette all the sites to protect them from further destruction.
