A mother of 12 was on Tuesday evening shot dead by armed bandits in Kases village on the Pokot-Turkana border. Chemket Nakocho, 52, died on the spot in what is believed to be a revenge attack by cattle rustlers. Mark Loywat, a villager, said about seven cattle rustlers armed with AK-47 rifles were attempting to steal livestock in the village in when Nakocho spotted them.
