Scrap metal dealers vandalise pipes, roads in Kibwezi, Makindu

Residents of Kibwezi and Makindu in Makueni county have raised alarm over increased theft of metal rails by unscrupulous businessmen. They said metal rails from bridges and on roadsides have been disappearing at an alarming rate. They accused scrap metal dealers as the culprits. The residents said the vandals of bridge rails in some parts of Nairobi-Mombasa highway between Salama and Mutito-Andei towns posed a great danger to motorists.
