The High Court in Embu has released 68 prisoners who had been convicted of petty offences at the Embu Prison. The aim is to decongest the prisons. Justice Hedwig Ong'udi with the help of probation officers' report on the offenders released the prisoners. Prison boss Aggrey Onyango said the probation officers recommended the 68 men serve the remaining sentences by engaging in community services. Each of them will be taken to their various communities and be attached to public institutions...
