Maara has few BVR kits

More than 30 per cent of eligible voters at Maara in Tharaka Nithi may not vote in the general election because of insufficient registration material. Aspirant John Micheni claimed some polling stations open as late as noon because of the lack of BVR kits. “There is a case of Margaret Mukami Nkonge and family who had to travel back to Mombasa without registering. We are going to make a complaint to the IEBC over the success of the process,” he said. Micheni has been carrying out voter education to get most people to vote.
