Khaemba may sue Wekesa
TRANS Nzoia governor Patrick Khaemba has threatened to take legal action against former minister Noah Wekesa for inciting area leaders over a hospital facility. The county government has bought a Sh185 million facility that will be transformed into a referral hospital, but area MPs have faulted the cost. Speaking on West FM yesterday, Khaemba blamed Wekesa. “I am tired of attacks from politicians in funerals,” Khaemba said. “We have welcomed the Senate committee on health to investigate the matter, and if it absolves us from the claims, then I will sue Wekesa,” Khaemba said.

Man killed as motorbike crashes into army tanker
A man died and three others were seriously injured after a motorbike they were riding on rammed into a military fuel tanker in Webuye town on the Eldoret-Malaba highway. The motorbike rider was carrying three passengers when he lost control and hit the rails on the sides of a flyover. He then crashed into the fuel tanker, which was heading in the same direction. The rider died on the spot while the passengers were admitted to Webuye district hospital. The motorcycle was damaged but the tanker remained intact. Webuye OCPD Mr Willy Simba warned motorcycle riders to avoid overloading.

Police in Nyatike subcounty have launched investigations after a body of an eight-month-old baby was found in a stream on Tuesday.
