Tana IDPs plea on poll register

Tana Delta residents are now calling on the government to extend the voter registration period. Issa Kofa a resident said if IEBC is going to take only 30 days, many people from the area are going to be locked out of the registration period because most of them are still displaced. “Not all the people have returned to their homes. People in Chamwanamuma, Ozi and Riketa areas which were the most affected have not returned home,” said Tofa. He said the turn out in most areas is low and asked IEBC to consider extending the time.
