Two men on death row for the murder of two policemen during the post-election violence have had their conviction quashed by the Court of Appeal. Appellate judges Martha Koome, Erastus Githinji and Alnashir Visram yesterday ordered the release of Robert Kipng'etich and Kirkland Kipng'eno who had been sentenced to die for killing of the police officers in Bureti constituency.
