A plainclothes police officer was yesterday shot dead in Kariobangi estate in Nairobi by gangsters. The officer, attached to Ruaraka police station, was on patrol with his colleagues from Huruma police station when the gang in a saloon car shot at the officers killing one officer on the spot. A saloon car, a gun and a bulletproof jacket was recovered by the police as the gangsters fled.
