Kitale artisans ask for loans

The Trans Nzoia Brotherhood Jua Kali Association has decried lack of space and access to loans.The association's chairman Augustine Khayumbi said the government should address these challenges to help the sector grow. “The Lands and Local Government ministries should assist us reclaim a two-acre plot from private developer,” he said.Khayumbi was speaking at the Kitale Jua Kali premises during the official launch of the association on Wednesday. The association, which has 300 members, was started in June.
