Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wairia has directed agricultural extension officers to resume service delivery to farmers or risk being sacked. Wairia accused the officers of laziness saying for the last 10 years no officer has been seen visiting farmers. “I wonder if the officers are managing their jobs theoretically instead of physically visiting and sensitising farmers on new farming methods and crop husbandry," Wairia said.
