A task force appointed by Prime Minister Raila Odinga to address grievances of Coastal communities yesterday held its first formal meeting. Speaking to the press after the meeting at Mombasa City Council offices, chairman Gen (Rtd) Joseph Kibwana said the 16-member team will be results oriented and will not be influenced by politics. The task force is mandated to, among other things, identify the causes of tension and hostilities within communities in the region. It has six months to compile and present its findings.
