Upgrade to raise power at Kindaruma by 80 per cent

The second of three phase upgrade to double the production capacity of Kindaruma power plant is now complete. Kenya Electricity Generating Company KenGen received the Kindaruma Unit II from the contractors Andritz Hydro from Austria handling the Electrical and Mechanical works and the civil works by Farab Company of Iran. The upgraded unit is generating 24MW of power up from 20MW previously.
